Jessica Mozersky

Jessica Mozersky

Jessica Mozersky was born and raised in Canada. She moved to London 9 years ago. Jessica initially began practising astanga yoga in 2003 under the guidance of Petra Bradjic Mitidieri. Her love of yoga inspired her to teach and Jessica completed her teacher training at Triyoga, one of Europe’s leading yoga studios in 2008. Jessica has continued to study and practise a variety of yoga styles including Iyengar and Dynamic Flow yoga which informs both her personal practise and style of teaching. Jessica believes that the alignment provided by Iyengar yoga is essential for a safe practise, yet she loves the heat generated by moving with the breath during a more dynamic practise. Jessica’s classes combine dynamic movement alongside Iyengar inspired alignment. Jessica’s teaching style is compassionate and she believes yoga should be fun and make anyone who practises feel good about themselves.

She has studied with leading teachers in the UK as well as guest teachers from around the world including Leela Miller, Jane Kersel, Max Strom and Sarah Powers.

Jessica is also in the final stages of a PhD in Anthropology at University College London. Her area of research is genetics and health. She also has over 8 years experience working in clinical research related to genetics and cancer.

Jessica currently teaches regular classes in Kensington. Jessica is certified to teach through the British Wheel of Yoga. She has a valid First Aid certificate and liability insurance.

I ruptured a disc in my back 5 years ago causing chronic pain and the risk of further disc degeneration. As a person who enjoys exercise and wants to maintain flexibility, I was faced with the vicious circle of wanting to exercise but being in too much pain to do it. As a devotee of Asthanga yoga for many years, I started private classes with Petra 3 years ago. Petra is immensely experienced in dealing with back problems and worked with me to adapt my practice in a way that enables me to enjoy all the challenges and benefits of Asthanga yoga, and specifically build core strength to protect my lower spine. The result is I am virtually pain free and have the strength and energy I need to run my demanding business. See more
